This month also brought one of my favorite holidays, Veteran's Day. As many of you know I have a brother, step-dad, grandfathers, an uncle, and many in-laws that all served in the military. We also have many good friends, incuding one of our best friends, Jeremy. He served in the USMC and was kind enough to take the day off work to attend a parade and assembly at Seth and McKayla's school in honor of Veteran's Day. Thanks again to Meghan and Jeremy for making this possible.
During the week of November 6th - 11th, Justin left us to go to Chicago for the week to get a new license that would help him at work and with his future endeavors. After a week long course, lots of studying, and a huge exam, he passed and is now a Certified Exit Planing Advisor. You may not know what that is, but it really is a BIG deal. Have I mentioned how proud he makes me?
He got back late Friday night so to kill some time I took the kids to the downtown getdown. For those of you not from here, it's kind of like a big pep rally the night before home FSU football games. Luckily, Meghan and Jeremy were down there too and were very helpful with the kids. I find big crowds kind of scary with young kids if you're out numbered. While we were there the kids got their faces painted, got guns made from balloons, and we split a funnel cake. Later that night we headed to the airport to pick daddy up. They were so excited to see him and so was I!
That same weekend Seth had a flag football game. Here's a picture of the proud parents courtesy of McKayla. ;-)
After the flag football game Justin and Seth headed to the FSU vs. Miami football game. Seth got this special treat for getting straight A's for his first semester of Kindergarten (he's also being tested for the gifted program). Thanks again to my cousin Anthony for the awesome seats. They were on the 40 yard line and only 10 rows up.
The following weekend Seth had his last flag football game for the season and had his trophy ceremony. Here is a picture of him with his second trophy ever (first football).
Originally, Justin and I planned to head down south to my mom's and brother's houses for Thanksgiving (the kids were with their mom). Since Justin had just started his new job he couldn't get the time off so we stayed here instead. We had a great thanksgiving here at our home with his parents and our friends Meghan and Jeremy. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!
